Snow Leopard: about 45 minutes remaining…

Been installing Snow Leopard on various machines this afternoon. It feels faster, but otherwise acts like Leopard—pretty much what Apple said it would do. We’ll see if I regret upgrading my sister’s computer on launch day.

This has, for some reason, been one heckuva week for me. I’ve been nursing this persistent headache, and piddling crises at work have thrown me into massive levels of panic (this probably doesn’t mean much to many other people, but I would say it’s on the same level as the yearbook deadline is in two days and the file server just crashed and lost all our work panic) for no good reason. I’ve been coming home at night absolutely exhausted, and in general just have not been feeling quite right.

This might all have a simple explanation (or it might not): caffeine withdrawal. I had fallen back into my bad habit of taking a Big Gulp of Mountain Dew to work each day, and two or three weeks ago I quit that—more or less cold turkey. I don’t know about the timing of withdrawal symptoms, or else I might be more certain one way or the other.
